Who we are

Project SPF is essentially a non-profit organization dedicated to educating other youth in the community on the harmful effects of UV rays and how to best prevent them. The mission of Project SPF is to educate others, and inspire others to implement methods of prevention in their own lives.

Hi! I’m Emily Chow, a 10th grader attending high school in the San Francisco Bay Area. I created this non-profit organization in hopes of raising awareness, and embarking on a journey with my peers for a topic I’m passionate about.

My hobbies are free writing, spending time with loved ones, and baking! I’m also collector of cute things, whether that be labubus or smiskis :)

I enjoy conducting research as well, and a fun fact about me is that my first research project was on the different causes and treatment types of skin cancer, which inspired me to raise awareness to my peers as well.

Founder

Hello, I’m Patrick! Some hobbies I have are basketball, swimming, running, lifting weights, video games, and puzzles.

I became an officer because I think that the mission of this organization in spreading awareness is very important, and can benefit many people including myself.

Social Media Manager

Hi, I’m Jessie! Some of my hobbies include drawing, and playing puzzle games!

I wanted to become an officer because I want to spread awareness about the risks of the sun’s UV rays! Although the sun is precious and essential to the world, too much of it could still result in problems. Being an officer allows me to learn more about the sun’s effects on us and how to prevent such consequences for the better, for ourselves and those around us!
